Developing Student Learning in Data Science

Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Management respectively ranked as the top #1, #2, and #3 careers in demand in 2020 by the World Economic Forum. Unfortunately, these fields also have the top skill gap shortages.  CTE programs in Data Science are already working to empower students with the skills needed to succeed in high-skill, high-wage careers and close these skills gaps.

Please join us as we explore ways to integrate data science learning opportunities into state and local CTE programs. Hear from education innovators across the country about CTE Data Science programs that are showing promise and learn about resources that can help you design CTE Data Science programs and offerings.

The COVID-19 pandemic has redefined how we teach, learn, and connect with each other. It has also increased the demand for workers with the skills needed to analyze, interpret, and apply data to solve real-world problems.  Data analytics is not limited to the technology sector or white-collar workers – it is now commonly used across a wide array of careers, including line supervisors, nurses, and farmers.

No prior knowledge of Data Science is needed to attend! This session is designed to introduce definitions and key concepts, share program designs and implementation experiences, and facilitate a discussion among leaders in CTE.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to staff within your state or organization that may be interested.
