Dear Colleagues:
Last month, the U. S. Department of Education (Department) launched the FY 2020 Grantee Satisfaction Survey to solicit your evaluation of and comments on the Department’s performance as it applies to your Perkins State formula grant. The survey was sent to you via email from the Department’s contractor (an independent third-party research firm), the CFI Group, with subject line “Department of Education Grantee Satisfaction Survey 2020.” The survey asks about your experience as a State formula grant recipient and seeks your suggestions about ways our office can enhance your satisfaction as a grantee. Your responses are anonymous. The Department staff will not receive individual survey forms or individualized information. Completing the survey should take no more than 15 – 20 minutes.
We have set a goal to reach a 100 percent response rate. To this end, your Perkins Regional Coordinator will be reaching out to you to confirm that you received the survey and, if not, ensure that one is sent to you right away. DATE appreciates your attention to this survey and welcomes your input on ways that we can better serve you.
The Department of Education recently released for public comment the Information Collection Request (ICR) for the Consolidated Annual Report (CAR) for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 as amended by the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V). We are proposing to revise the ICR to remove the option to report enrollment and performance data via the EDFacts system, amend the Fiscal Responsibility section of the Narrative Performance Report to collect additional data about subgrants and their recipients, and to make clarifying changes to some instructions.
